In 2025, the young Seasiders will compete in the East of Scotland Football Development League, in our fourth U20’s campaign. In 2024 alone, we covered 1,940 miles, going to and fro fixtures, across Scotland. From Greenock, to Duns, we covered, many, many miles.
Running such a squad, comes at a substantial cost. We are entirely reliant on sponsorship, donations and player’s subscriptions, to fund and run, our project at Dunbar United FC. From pitch hire, to strip costs, to running buses to games, it all comes at a cost.
Since creation, the young Seasiders have seen the likes of Gregor Goldie, Daniel Hall and Jason Craig, make the full step into first team football. Furthermore, since we began in 2022, 15 players, from the young Seasiders, have made a first team debut. Nearly 70% of said players, began their youth career, at Dunbar United Colts FC.
Looking ahead, we require YOUR support. We need help funding, the U20’s 1925 Edition Centenary Shirt. It’s a spectacular modern interpretation, of the club’s historic Scottish Junior Cup winning team’s shirt, from 1961. Our young Seasiders, will hopefully wear such kit proudly, in the 25/26 and 26/27 campaign, to celebrate 100 years of Dunbar United FC.
We are appealing to our incredible fan base to help us raise money, towards the brand new strips, like we did previously, in 2023. This time, with a difference! In 2025, if you donate, your name will proudly sit, printed, on our home shirt, as a nod to your incredible support of the young Seasiders. A very, very unique offering.
In our incredible 2023/2024 campaign, the squad agonisingly missed out on the league title by 1 point. We still remember supporters packing out New Countess Park, with between 300 to 400 spectators in the ground, for our final 3 league games. Truly breathtaking for an U20’s fixture!
Throughout the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 campaign, we have proudly worn ‘Dunbar United Supporters Club’, on the rear of our home & away shirt. This is in appreciation of the money raised by the club’s incredible supporters, in the fundraiser set up by Stuart Robertson, in 2023. Now having reached 2025, we are appealing to the club’s loyal supporters again.
If you can, please donate, to help the young Seasiders wear the club’s legendary 1925 Limited Edition Centenary Shirt. By donating, you will sit proudly on the shirt of the young Seasiders! Thank you.
