Help Preston & Codey rebuild

Donation protected
Hello everyone, we are seeking support from the community for my niece and nephew who lost their home and all their belongings after having fled on the evening of August 17th due to a mandatory evacuation by the RCMP; as the devastating McDougall wildfire swept through the Traders Cove area in Kelowna destroying everything in its path.

After the fire

Before the fire
To all our friends, family and kind-hearted supporters, please help us rally around Preston and Codey as a community and show these two incredible souls that their kindness and selflessness have not gone unnoticed. The burden of replacing items adds to their challenges and any donations received will contribute to rebuilding their lives and helping them regain a sense of normalcy.

Your contributions will not only provide practical assistance but also serve as a reminder that in times of darkness, there is an abundance of light and hope that can emerge from the care and generosity of others.

Any amount helps, and all monetary contributions will go towards:
-Temporary housing/deposit (long-term)
-Furnishings and essential household items
-Dog food and supplies
-School supplies and work-related materials such as uniforms, boots etc.
-Clothing/jackets and shoes (fall is approaching)
-Transportation/vehicle expenses (gas)

After embarking on a journey of moving away from home along with Miss. Daisy (a very sweet, affectionate and gentle Great Dane). They were very excited about the next chapter in their lives. Being on their own in pursuit of their new careers and dreams and had found an amazing place and made it home. While we may never fully replace the sentimental items that hold so much meaning, your support will send a powerful message of love and solidarity that will surely help them find solace during this trying time.

Preston, a naturally loving and caring empath with an unwavering dedication to the well-being of others. On the cusp of starting the PCP program (primary care paramedic) at the end of the month, after recently completing his EMR certificate and spending a summer planting trees to save up for school. Codey is an equally loving, compassionate, dedicated and driven empath with the most caring, good-natured, kind-hearted spirit. Recently graduated with an RN Degree and is soon to be starting her nursing career at Kelowna General Hospital in the coming weeks. Both are equally passionate about what they do and have shown a remarkable commitment to saving lives and making a difference in the community.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! It has been a very daunting and overwhelming time and our hearts go out to all those affected by the wildfires.

We are so very grateful for the immense outpour of love, support, thoughts/prayers and positive healing energy that has been received by all.

With gratitude sincerely,
Martha & family
