Dear Friends,
A few days ago in Sandy Springs, 14 domesticated cats—including several kittens and four newborns—were tragically abandoned outside an apartment complex. An employee temporarily placed them in a vacant unit for safety, but unfortunately, three of the newborns did not survive. One remaining newborn was rushed to a bottle feeder and is doing quite well.
The mother cat was unable to nurse due to untreated infections, which further compromised the health of the kittens. Thankfully, we have since removed all of the cats from the property and secured temporary foster homes for some, while the others remain with two women who have been the troopers of this difficult situation and will remain with them until they can be placed in a no-kill shelter this August.
Several of the cats required immediate veterinary attention, and all have been treated with flea medication. Until they are safely transferred to the shelter, all care and medical expenses are being covered out of our own pockets.
Any support—whether through fostering, donations, or spreading the word—would mean the world to us and to these innocent animals who are now on the road to recovery.
With gratitude,
Amanda Sagel
