Duke is a service dog that needs help. A few days ago, Duke was lethargic and could not put weight on one of his back legs. After consulting with multiple vets, it's been determined that he needs very specialized care for a possible spinal tumor or other neurological disorder affecting his mobility. Because of this, Duke will need a wheelchair from here on out.
Duke is an incredible service dog who has been a constant support for my brother, Kennen. Kennen rescued Duke from a big dog rescue, Big Dogs Huge Paws, just over 4 years ago. Kennen may have rescued Duke from the shelter, but Duke is really the one who rescued Kennen. As a trained psychiatric service dog, Duke provides comfort and stability in difficult times, offering a sense of safety and emotional support. Duke’s medical care and special needs come with significant expenses. Kennen is graduating from college this year, and being a student, he cannot afford the care Duke needs on his own. Our goal is to raise funds to ensure that Duke continues to receive the best possible care so he can keep helping Kennen. Any donation, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated and will make a meaningful difference.
