Duke’s Justice Fund

Tax deductible
At 12:05pm Sunday, 6/7/2020, Henderson County Animal Control was dispatched to the Sam Ball Way Fairgrounds where a dog was found burned in an apparent arson in the men’s restroom by the Henderson Police Department. Upon observation, it was clear the death had occurred during the previous night and that the dog had been intentionally burned alive. The dog was identified by its rabies tag and matched with a dog who had been reported missing on social media and to our shelter. The owner, Gina Howard, was notified by Animal Control and the HPD.

We are frightened and saddened to know someone capable of such a horrific, inhumane act of torture could potentially act again. If you have any information, specifically about any vehicles seen in the Airline Road/Sam Ball Way intersection area during the hours of 1-3am 6/7, please contact the Henderson Police Department. We are committed to working along with the public and the HPD to bring this vile criminal to justice. This is a felony crime and possible violation of the recently enacted Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act. We will not allow Duke to be tortured and lost in vain.

**100% of monies collected will be rewarded to the person or persons who give information responsible for the arrest AND conviction of those responsible.**
