Dear Family and Friends,

Our sweet boy Duke, a 3-year-old French bulldog, just had a severe medical emergency. From a slip, caused a spinal disc to rupture. Within minutes he was dragging his back legs, completely unable to move them or walk. We rushed him to the emergency hospital in Pasadena where they did an MRI and a neurologist confirmed the worst: his spine was being crushed by the ruptured disc. Duke needed emergency surgery to remove the fragments, or he'd never walk again. He got through surgery and after several days at the hospital he is now back home. He still is not able to walk, and we were told it may take several weeks/months for significant improvement. Every day we wait for signs his legs will move again and hope the rehab will speed up his recovery.

This medical emergency in total has cost us $15,000 and we kindly ask for your help in paying off Duke's vet bills and rehabilitation so he may soon be back to his sweet, active, and crazy little self again!
