It is with deep sorrow, mild disbelief, and the kind of laughter you feel bad about later, that we announce the passing (in spirit, if not in body) of our dear friend, Duke Brichler — affectionately known as Ducky Brich Brich, and other aliases we were never really clear on.

For reasons unknown, Duke has spent the last several months sending increasingly concerning photos of himself. Some say it was performance art. Others say it was a cry for help. We just know it was... a lot.

After careful review and a group vote, we have come to the heartbreaking conclusion that Duke has spiritually left us. Whether he’s truly gone or just really offline this time, we feel it's only right to begin planning a funeral. It’s what he would’ve wanted — or at least what he wouldn’t have not wanted.

To honor Duke’s bizarre and beautiful life, we are organizing a respectful and emotionally unstable service. There will be eulogies. There will be store-brand soda. There may be a slideshow, depending on how many cursed selfies we can collect without trauma.

We humbly ask for your support. Our goal is a single dollar — not because that’s all we think Duke is worth, but because frankly, that’s all the event is costing us.
