My name is Tarik and I am fundraising for a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Eastern Cape South Africa to take part in a wildlife conservation project in August 2026.

I am 21 years old and I am working towards my Duke of Edinburgh Gold. I have taken part in Duke of Edinburgh Direct and I have had to demonstrate resilience and determination just to get this far. Your support will help me to achieve my Gold, an award I have had to work extremely hard for with the support of my family and mentors.

'Shamwari' means to be a friend. Shamwari Foundation, which runs wildlife rehabilitation, anti poaching programmes and environmental education onsite with a restored wilderness. The reserve is shaped by conservation, wildlife and the people that protect both.

During my work with Taleblazers, Sound Communities and Riviera Tuition I have developed a love of the outdoors and have learned some amazing conservation skills. This is a wonderful opportunity for me and I hope you can support me with a donation.
