Duke Needs Your Help for Critical Surgery
Donation protected
update 4/15/25
I wanted to share an update: we’ve had to take down the GoFundMe, as my friend had to make the incredibly difficult decision to put Duke down. His condition worsened overnight,
he was too weak for surgery and his quality of life had declined too much.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated or shared—your support truly meant the world. The funds raised will go toward covering the emergency care and vet bills she’s now facing.
Hi everyone,
My name is Jocelyn, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for one of my best friends, Mia, and her sweet Frenchie, Duke. Duke was recently diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), a painful spinal condition that now requires emergency surgery.
The cost of surgery and post-operative care is over $20,000, and the most heartbreaking part—they won’t even begin treatment until the full amount is paid up front. As you can imagine, that’s not something many people are financially prepared for, and Mia is doing everything in her power to save him.
Duke is the sweetest, most lovable pup. He’s full of personality, so loved by everyone who meets him, and it’s been devastating for Mia to watch him suffer while scrambling to figure out the next step.
If you’re able to donate—whether it’s $5 or simply sharing this page—every bit helps and means the world. 100% of donations will go toward Duke’s medical costs and recovery.
Let’s help Mia and Duke get through this and bring him back to the happy, spunky pup we all adore.
Thank you so much for your support,
Jocelyn
