My best friend had the most terrifying experience on Sunday. If a few of us can donate a little bit, we can help raise enough to get a seizure camera, it would be hugely helpful for some night time peace of mind.

If I could invent a Time Machine I would.
Eden was diagnosed with epilepsy at 2 years old, she is now 10. Over the last 8 years I thought I knew her epilepsy inside out. However on the 16th of Feb at 6.36pm our lives changed. Eden had 2 tonic clonic (grand mal) seizures. The whole episode lasted 45 minutes, the longest 45 minutes of our lives.
She went blue and I thought she was gone. She was given life saving medication by the ambulance crew and spent the night in the hospital. I am forever grateful to them.
We are now looking into how we keep her safe especially at night. The equipment we need isn’t cheap but I need to find a way to reduce the risk of SUDEP. If you are lucky to not know what this is, it’s sudden unexpected death in epilepsy. I had to had a conversation about this with her neurology team this morning.
I have sat and debated posting this. As sharing things so personal can be difficult. However at one time my child didn’t have epilepsy. So I am sharing for awareness.
If anyone has any good fundraisers throw them my way!
