Dugan Birthday Memorial Fund

In memory and honor of my dear dog Dugan who died on August 6, 2023 exactly two months before his 18th birthday on October 6. I am creating a fund to help pay for costs of my rescued animals and stray feral cat colony. Presently I have six cats one of which is a recent kitten that appeared on my porch. I have rescued and taken in 3 dogs, 2 rabbits, 1 Guinea pig and 15 cats in the years I have lived in my house. Three kittens born outside were being fostered and now at a no kill pet shelter. There are several stray and feral cats that come to my porch for food. My neighborhood has an epidemic of stray and feral cats. Many have had a rough life but my porch offers unlimited food, water, and some shelter in wooden insulated huts. Monthly I purchase about 150 cans of cat food, 40 to 60 lbs. of dry cat food, and 4 to 5 gallons of lactose free milk. My 2022 veterinary bills exceeded $5,000 dollars. I have named my sanctuary for cats, The Wadsworth Square Sanctuary for Wayward Cats, Feral and Familiars Welcome. I will post receipts monthly on Facebook for all money spent and accounted for. There is also a new arrival that was in need of a home but I will post more about him in time.
