Duct Taped Cat

A 24x7 rescue effort is underway to rescue a cat with duct tape around its mouth and neck in NC. The cat first appeared 6 days ago (7/26). Rescuers were contacted on 7/29. We need help raising funds for emergency vet bills and supplies for this rescue operation.

We do not know the full extent of the cat's injuries, but can tell that the condition of the cat warrants emergency care once caught. The cat has lacerations on it's neck from the duct tape. We are concerned about additional trauma from the torture it endured (broken bones, etc).

This is NOT a typical rescue situation. The cat is trap shy, terrified, but seems friendly. There will be extensive conditioning needed to get this cat to get close enough to us for rescue. The major concern is having funds available to treat and rehabilitate this cat.

The area is under constant watch by rescuers on the ground. At this time, we need to prepare for upcoming vet bills and rehabilitation costs to save this cat's life.
