Hello Community, Family, and Friends,

My name is Ducky Vega, I am a Black, Latinx, Trans, Gender NonConforming, Intersex, Chronically ill, Disabled and Neurodiverse person. I am community organizer and advocate, poet, and writer. I have an passion for community healing and advocacy, while dream of doing therapy through therapy and providing a supportive space for QTIBIPOC folks. I love writing, playing sports, and dancing and being the life of the party while cooking for those that I love.

The reason I am raising funds and asking for your support is because I am having Left Knee Arhroscopic Minesectomy surgery on December 4th. According to the surgeon this surgery would take up to 6-8 weeks of healing, recovery, and would put me out of work during this time. Which would put me in a place of no income for to two months for the necessities I need to survive.

It is important for me to have your support is as some of you may know my experience with being unstable and housing. I am finally in a place that is heading that way and I can't afford to go back to instability. As Black Intersex Trans disabled person it is already hard for to get a job and have stable housing. I don't want to put pressure on my housemates too much to cover bills and rent by themselves. Your help and support will help my survival through this time and contribute even when I am out of work.

The funds will go to as follows:

-It would help with a caretaker through this time as my housemates works fulltime and I'll be staying with them as I heal being it is accessible and helping me with basic daily tasks and appointments.

-3 months of my portion of rent

-3 months of my portion of bills (electric, gas, internet, and phone)

-3 months of Car insurance and payments

-Car registration

-rideshares to appointments as I won't be able to drive for a little bit

-Medical supplies.
