Duck and Goose Emergency Vet Bills

On May 6th I discovered lilies in a bouquet given to me and that Goose had gotten pollen all over her nose. When the bouquet arrived the lilies weren’t bloomed, so I had no idea that’s what they were. Overnight they bloomed and when I noticed I immediately took both Duck and Goose to the emergency vet. Duck spent two nights there while Goose ended up staying all week as she’s the one that definitely got into them.

Im incredibly lucky that I noticed so soon because Lily flowers are deathly toxic to cats (the amount of pollen Goose ingested could have easily killed her!) and can cause almost instant kidney damage/failure. After a super stressful week in the kitty hospital her creatinine (kidney levels) went down and she was able to come home.

Thankfully I have pet insurance which covered 80% of their almost 10k bill, but the remainder that wasn’t included in that is still astronomically high for me and I would greatly appreciate anything anyone can contribute ♥️ I fully support myself here in Los Angeles and $2700 is a major set back for me while trying to get ahead since I moved under a year ago.
