Dubuque-East Dubuque webcams & ATCS
Donation protected
Please help support the Dubuque and East Dubuque Rail Monitoring Fundraiser. This project will include three webcams as well as an ATCS server, and the goal is to raise $4,000 for equipment and installation. The Mississippi River Museum has graciously agreed to host a webcam on their property at the former Burlington Depot. This webcam will face north toward Dubuque Junction, allowing viewers to observe movements on both the Canadian National Dubuque Sub as well as trackage rights trains on the Canadian Pacific Marquette Sub. On the East Dubuque side of the river, webcams facing both East and West will be mounted at a private business near the 6th Street crossing. These webcams will show BNSF trains operating on the Aurora Sub, as well as Canadian National trains running on the double main between East Dubuque and Portage. The next piece will be an ATCS server hosted in Dubuque. This server will extend coverage on the CN Dubuque Sub to cover Wood and Dubuque Jct, showing movements of both CN and CP trains through downtown Dubuque. As a final part to this project, a scanner radio feed will also be established to monitor all three railroads (BNSF, CN & CP) as well as the CN Dubuque drawbridge. Please consider donating to this campaign and help make these projects a reality! Successful fundraising will allow installation to begin as early as April of 2022. Thank you!
