Dublin Here We Come!

Donation protected
Provincetown Dramatic Arts (www.ptowndramaticarts.org) has been accepted to perform at the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival (www.gaytheatre.ie) in May 2022. Your support is invaluable and necessary for us to get to Dublin! This is the seventh year we have been accepted. The Festival was cancelled, as was all theater, for the past two years, but we have been writing and rehearsing and waiting in the wings, and are certain this year will be a go!

Provincetown Dramatic Arts will present four plays, QUICKIES! 4 SHORT PLAYS FROM PROVINCETOWN, by playwrights: Doug Asher-Best, Jim Dalglish, Lynda Sturner, and Margaret Van Sant. We will be performing during the Festival's second week with our acting company of five superb actors from the Outer Cape: Joe MacDougall, Vanessa Rose, Ellen Rubenstein, Tia Scalcione, and Tommy Walsh, plus our tech staff of Carol Sherry and Margaret Van Sant.

This eighteenth anniversary International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival takes place in venues across Dublin city centre and will feature a diverse program of drama, musical theatre, music and comedy over two weeks. Founded in 2004 to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth in Dublin of Oscar Wilde, the IDGTF has grown to become the largest festival of its kind in the world.

We will honor your contribution by listing it in our program and putting your business logo on our website. Please contact us with any questions. And most importantly, we keep our expenses very low in Dublin, and the international exposure for our playwrights assists them in further productions of their work.

How You Can Help Us Get To Dublin To Perform

QUICKIES! 4 SHORT PLAYS FROM PROVINCETOWN needs your help to get to Ireland. Your contribution (of any amount) will help fund the following:

Roundtrip airfare from Provincetown and Boston to Dublin for the company.
The cost of a furnished flat (with kitchen and laundry!) in Dublin for them to stay. And presumably, cook and do laundry.
Postcards, posters and playbills.
A per diem, so the actors don't have to go out busking in the street! (Though they can if they want to).
Basic groceries to save money on dinner out.
Other Ways You Can Help

Many of you are artists trying to get your own work up and running... sometimes you're just not able to contribute in cash. But we still need (and love!) you! Please share, re-post, tweet, busk and otherwise spread the word about our QUICKIES! 4 SHORT PLAYS FROM PROVINCETOWN campaign.

And:

Send your Irish friends to the International Gay Dublin Theatre Festival!
Come and see us in Dublin…we’ll play great pub games after the show.
Please send us a kind word, and come to our fundraising event here in Provincetown on April 30th at the Red Room at Velvet.

Provincetown Dramatic Arts is a not-for-profit under the umbrella of its fiscal agent, the Provincetown Community Compact.
