On 8/15/22, Catherine was living her busy life as a working mom of three. After picking up her youngest son from daycare, she lost feeling in her left leg and foot and became dizzy. Her husband, Walter, encouraged her to seek medical treatment right away to determine the cause. After a long night in the ER, and being transferred to a larger hospital, it was confirmed with an MRI of her brain, that Catherine was dealing with a very large brain tumor in the frontal lobe. She was told that she would be ok to delay surgery for a couple of weeks, but would likely still need chemo after surgery to remove the rest of her tumor. Her doctors will not know if her tumor is malignant or benign until surgery. The Dublin family, wanting to make sure they have the most support for all of them during this time and to receive the best care at Moffit, has decided to move back to Florida. The expense of moving and facing surgery and chemo will surely add up for them in the coming months. Please consider helping in any way you can.
