This year, I was planning to take on the Dublin City Marathon just for the challenge — to simply run it for myself. Many will know I have had my own challenges with deciding to run or not. The past few weeks have been tough but I am going to do it. I’ve decided to run it for my beautiful little cousin/niece (more like a niece to me) Bláthnaid who has been in the neonatal unit in the Coombe.
Blá was born prematurely at 28 weeks! She’s just 3 weeks old and fighting every single day with incredible strength. The amazing team at The Coombe Hospital have been caring for her around the clock, and I want to give something back for everything they do for babies like her and their families.
I know there’s only two weeks to go until the marathon, but this has all only recently happened — so I’m hoping to raise as much as I can in a short time.
Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards the Coombe.
If you’re able to contribute or even just share this fundraiser, it would mean the world!
Thank you all for the support
