Mannix Flynn Dublin Bay South By-Election
Dear friends,
Once again I am placing myself before the electorate of Dublin Bay South. I believe that Dublin needs a strong independent strong voice with courage and vision.
Independent candidates, like myself, have to fund this campaign out of our own pocket and through the kindness of strangers and friends.
So please help in any way you can by spreading the word on social media, handing out flyers, join our team or donate through this gofundme page.
Your contributions here are greatly appreciated.
This by-election is about getting it right for the future.
It's about change.
Not just talking about change, but making it happen.
We need to #saveourcity
About Mannix Flynn
Mannix Flynn is an Independent Dublin City Councillor who has served the Dublin Bay South area for 12 years. In this role he has been on committees which manage issues of traffic and transport, climate action and culture as well as being vice Chairperson of the Joint policing committee.
As a councillor Mannix has concentrated on tackling anti-social behaviour, crime and homelessness with a special emphasis on making housing bodies and the homeless charity sector accountable and transparent for spending of public money.
Like everybody else, Mannix is deeply concerned about housing and about making rented accommodation comfortable and affordable for all.
Mannix is also a member of the climate action and environment committee of DCC and believes strongly in a healthier environment.
While on the council Mannix has continued working as an artist and deals with issues around addiction, abuse, children's rights, prison reform, mental health, equality and social justice.
His recent feature film Land Without God, continues to receive world acclaim.
Mannix is currently studying Compassionate Inquiry under the renowned Hungarian-Canadian physician Dr. Gabor Maté.
Our city streets, our city communities and our business districts are changing and your voice and your concerns are less and less heard.
Democracy is being eroded and decisions are made by a few.
As a voter you can join with like-minded people and put somebody into the Dail who will give voice to your concerns, and, more importantly, will get involved in committees where decisions on these issues are made.
