Dauntless Farm Barn Fire

So last night our old dairy barn caught Fire and thanks to the wonderful men and women of the Union, Marengo, and Woodstock (and beyond) Fire Departments we were able to save about half of the barn. We managed to get most of our animals out of the barn safely. Unfortunately we did lose four precious Goats, Smores, Hersheys, Oreo, & Little Rou. We are heartbroken as this Historic Barn of Union History may now be lost. There are not too many of these left in the country and we were planning on trying to start the restorations in the Spring. Any money raised will be used for temporary housing for the animals to get us through winter. If there is any money left over we will begin structural repairs of this piece of Union IL. History.  Unfortunately many of these Historic barns can not be insured until they are restored, and life happens.  Thank you for all our wonderful neighbors, for all their thoughts, prayers and Help.  We are so thankful for all the Blessings in our lives and that this was not worse then it could have been.  The Carlson Clan.
