We want to thank everyone that has donated to assist with the end of life costs associated with this. We want all friends and family to know that we will be holding Duane's Celebration of Life at the Middletown American Legion Post 216 on July 8th from 1 PM until 4PM and that everyone is welcome to come and share stories and honor the life that Duane lived. Please accept our heartfelt thanks again.

We share the news of Duane’s passing with a heavy heart. He was a loving son, father, and friend. He had a heart of gold and touched the lives of every person he interacted with.
In December 2021, Duane (Bart) had been diagnosed with Stage three Esophageal Cancer. He fought a valiant fight with this elusive cancer for 16 months. During this time, he remained private in his battle even to his family in an effort to “not bother anyone” as he would put it. Regardless, he made every effort to stay involved in all of the activities that he loved. He was a part of two local pool teams, enjoyed golfing every weekend possible, attended and danced at pow-wows, traveled to Florida, and above all spent as much time as he could with his family. Duane was a prominent resident of Middletown all of his life.
While we were aware of Duane’s fight, we were not prepared for the unexpected expenses that came with his passing. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us as we navigate these new territories and expenses and allow us to provide Duane with the most memorable celebration of life this summer.
Thank you for taking the time to read his story and for considering a donation. Words can not express how much our family appreciates your love and support during this time.
