Duane Haylett Memorial Fund

My heart is heavy with overwhelming sadness and love as I write this. My beloved brother-in-law, Duane Haylett died very suddenly and unexpectedly in the early hours of Wednesday,10th April 2019.

Duane was, above all things, a man who was dedicated to God and his family. He navigated his whole life around them. In everything he did, he kept God as his true North, and his beloved wife and children Caroline, Ethan and Shannon were his East, South and West.

As a family, they have always been a shining example of unity, love and integrity, serving God and their community with their whole hearts and lives. Duane was an Artist and, more recently a Youth Pastor and he loved the young people whom he shared the love of God with. Caroline supported him in his work as he supported her in her role as a Children’s Pastor and one of the Leaders of the Church. In following their call to Ministry, they did not have much material and financial security. As they always said “we didn’t have a lot but we had each other and that was our thing”. Caz and Duane did everything together since meeting each other 20 years ago. Anyone who has spent the least amount of time with them would know, Caroline is the most dedicated wife and mother that any man could hope for.

It is the greatest privilege of my life being Caroline's big sister and I cherish her and the children with my whole heart. I have never known anyone as caring and as capable as Caz and her tireless efforts in taking care of everyone set a gold-standard in love. She makes everything she does, even the most difficult and tiresome tasks look not only easy but even enjoyable. I hope that when I grow up one day, I will be just like her! ;)

After many requests from you all asking how to help Caz and the family, instead of sending flowers, my husband Jamie and I have put this page together as a way for you to show your love and support to the Haylett family. Caroline has taken care of so many of us in so many ways, now we get to show her how much we love and appreciate her. We hope that this will be a blessing to you all.

All donations made will go directly to Caroline and the children and will help enormously with the many extra costs involved at this time. To avoid any confusion, 100% of all donations will go directly to Caz. Those who choose to donate will be presented with the OPTION of adding an additional percentage to the GoFundMe website which helps with continued service for other families who face the same struggles – it’s up to you if you would like to add this additional percentage but don’t feel obliged.

There is no amount too small and please feel free to copy and share on your social media devices.

With much love,

Nicole and Jamie
