Operation: Dual Trek

Josh Guerrero is the creator of All-Around Adventure, a travel blog and podcast that shares amazing tales from afar and the all-important life lessons that go along with them. Though his story goes much deeper than that. He's also a former US Marine, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Archaeologist, and Adventurer who's about to embark on a journey unlike any other!
In June of this year, he'll be making his way down to South America to attempt to walk the length of two countries: Paraguay and Uruguay (hence the name Dual Trek!). The total distance that he'll be walking for both countries is about 1,000 miles! Which will be the most audacious physical feat that he's ever done! And he's taking this on in hopes that it will raise money to help his fellow Veterans through a non-profit organization that he trusts.
Josh has teamed up with American Veterans Archaeological Recovery (AVAR) (formerly Operation Nightingale USA), a non-profit organization that's on a mission to promote the well-being of disabled Veterans transitioning to civilian life through field archaeology.
This unique approach is referred to as ‘Rehabilitation Archaeology’. Veterans will have the opportunity to work on a variety of archaeological dig sites around the world! This will allow them to connect with other Veterans, work towards a mission of protecting cultural heritage, and set themselves up for success following the dig. Some of the dig sites that AVAR is looking to take Veterans to are located in countries like Israel, Italy, England, and here in the US!
Your tax-deductible donation will help provide transportation, food, housing, tools, and safety equipment for disabled Veterans and active-duty personnel while they're engaged in important archaeological fieldwork.
Josh will be self-financing the entire cost of this expedition in South America. Meaning that 100% of all donations that come in will go directly towards helping Veterans through AVAR!
