My name is Carmen and I'm 50 years old, born in Puerto Rico and currently living in Ohio.   I have worked at Dollar Shave Club for the past 4 years and have three wonderful children. 

I was diagnosed with Leukemia  3 years ago.  Since then I have been receiving treatment at the Division of Hematology & Oncology Hospital.  Right now I need my treatment as soon as possible because my iron levels have decreased significantly.  I'm a person of faith and believe in God.  I want to live to be able to bring my children forward.  I give thanks every day for having my family, partner and friends who have supported me with their words of encouragement.  They say, "I am strong",  but when a warrior has persisted in a battle I only want to fight to be able to overcome any obstacle that comes my way.   With joy and optimism, I try and think positively to face all evils.

Finally, I thank you all for what you can do for my continued cancer treatment and the fight for survival.
