Anyone who knows Dana knows she is a fun-loving, outgoing, beautiful person. Family is her number one passion with friends, Forty Niners, Red Sox, and NASCAR as a close 4 way tie for her number two. She has a heart of gold and always puts others first.
Dana is a stay at home mommy and has an adorable 2 and 7 year old daughter and the fiancé of Joe who has a 14 year old son. It's been an exciting time in Dana's life lately as she and Joe were expecting another baby at 5 months pregnant. Dana has stayed busy during the holidays baking with her daughters.
Christmas was filled with joy, laughter, and family. And the celebration continued as their baby turned 2 years old the week after.
How quickly life can change.
On Saturday, January 2, 2016, Dana went to ER because of the severe pain she was experiencing. Not in anyone's wildest imagination would they believe what would happen next. Dana went into coma later that night due to organ failure and she lost the baby. She was rushed to Stanford hospital in the middle of the night.
Dana remained in coma while doctors worked around the clock to identify her diagnosis. It was Tuesday, January 5, 2016, when it was determined the only way she will survive was a liver transplant.
God answered that prayer. Another life ended and gave life to Dana when she received her new liver the following day.
Today, Dana remains in coma with swelling to her brain. As you could probably imagine, her family is devastated and feeling helpless with every passing minute and her children desperately need their mommy.
We opened this account to accomplish one thing: to spread the word and start a never ending prayer chain for our beloved Dana. Please pray for her and share this message so your friends and family can pray for her. And if you can find it in your heart to donate money, the donations will be used to allow Dana's family to live near Stanford for the expected 6-8 weeks of recovery to follow.
