For the first time ever, DTMS film students are going to Albuquerque to compete against other schools across the state in a film festival. This festival takes place April 6 and 7. We are currently working on our films to have completed to send up to Albuquerque. We are raising money mostly for the trip, hotel, food, etc. Film Prize Jr New Mexico does this film festival every year and we aim to participate in the coming years. In this program, students get to work with professional filmmakers in the industry in the state of NM and at this festival, students can earn cash rewards and scholarships for future college and careers in the film industry. The day of the event, we get to watch not only our films but other student films from across the state, get hands on demonstrations of Hollywood type of equipment, red carpet experience and plenty of other activities. The following day awards will be given out for certain categories for the films and individuals.

When we have completed films, we want to thank our donors with a free poster of our movies and a free copy, special thanks in the credits of the film, free front row entry when the movie premieres at our hometown in May, and a special thank you note from the crew.
