In our family, we don’t say “in-law.” So when I married Butch, I gained a whole bunch of amazing 1st cousins—16 to be exact! The oldest of the bunch could really use some support from everyone’s village. Angela was recently and out-of-the-blue diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer that not only will require surgery on her liver, she’ll need to undergo months of chemotherapy and radiation. All while dealing with excruciating pain from an L-4 and L-5 disc herniation. Thank God for her new bestie…her cane, James!

She will be out of work for an undetermined period of time. Ang is fiercely independent and is someone who doesn’t like to ask for help!

Just before this sudden diagnosis, her major support, her best friend and daughter Aliyah, had finalized plans to go back to school and will be working fewer hours, limiting her income and ability to help.

Ang is a Medical Administrative Assistant and has been on the other side when patients receive life-altering news, offering comfort, advice, and encouraging them to ask for help. Now it’s Angela who could really use the help and the financial support. It would mean the world to our family if you could help lift up and support the one girl who never asks for anything!
