Dilworth Basketball Program
Tax deductible
Edited on 11/19/17: Thank you everyone for your support so far! I updated the goal so as to cover the gofundme fees etc.
Dilworth Traditional Academy is a K-5 magnet school with an arts and humanities focus within Pittsburgh Public Schools. Housed in a heritage building in the East End of Pittsburgh, Dilworth does not have an in-house basketball court for its students to use. As a result, the basketball program has to rent space in the nearby Kingsley center. Over the last few years, the program has seen immense growth, and in the 2017-2018 school year,
it has enrolled 80 boys and 40 girls from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Subsequently, the space rental fee has skyrocketed, and the school needs to raise $1,350 to keep the program afloat. Shepherded by dedicated staff and supported by an active PTA, the basketball program helps foster team spirit, sportsmanship, and discipline among its young students, and we are committed to keep it going. As a parent of a kindergartener who started at Dilworth this year, I felt welcomed by the community from day one, and I am confident that my son is getting a wonderful, all-round education. I appeal to you to generously donate to this cause, and help keep our basketball program.
