Clarice Porter, Liz Bell, and I (Michelle Orlando) are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the Sexton family - beloved members of the Bellport community who are facing an unimaginable challenge.
On February 23, 2025, five-year-old Elliott Sexton was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Her parents, Sal and Jessica, along with her big brother Lennon, are doing everything they can to stay strong and support Elliott through the long and difficult road ahead.
Elliott’s treatment plan is expected to last approximately 3 years, involving frequent hospitalizations, ongoing medications, and round-the-clock care. To prioritize Elliott’s well-being, Sal has significantly reduced his work hours, and Jessica, who took FMLA to care for Elliott full-time, was recently terminated from her job.
This sudden loss of income, combined with rising medical costs and everyday living expenses, has placed a tremendous financial strain on the family.
We are reaching out to friends, neighbors, and anyone touched by their story to ask for your support. Every donation - big or small - makes a real difference, and all funds will go directly towards:
. Medical bills and treatment costs
. Transportation to and from medical appointments
. Basic living expenses for the family, including care for Elliott and her brother Lennon.
If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others. Your support in spreading the word is just as meaningful and deeply appreciated.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and your prayers. Let’s rally around the Sexton family and show them that they are not alone in this fight.
With love and gratitude,
Clarice Porter, Liz Bell, and Michelle Orlando
