This is for a loving couple who's life purpose is giving to others...please take the time to read! They are surrounded by many who love them, but the urgency of this adoption has forced us to push beyond and reach out to as many as possible!
Brian and Louisa fell in love in the winter of 2006. A year and a half later they were married in September 2007. Like any young couple, their desire was to have children. However, after a year of trying to conceive they were told by medical professionals they were unable to have children. For 12 years the Saylors have walked the road of childlessness, barrenness, and multiple miscarriages. They trusted the Lord's plan for their life and believed that God would bring children through other means. One such way was through discipleship. Through intentional discipleship and following the Great Commission, the Saylors welcomed dozens of spiritual children of various ages into their lives. However, their move to Monticello, Florida from Cincinnati proved to be an opportunity to adopt. They were introduced to a family whose ministry is to care for foster children. Upon their meeting in May of 2018 the Saylors met a little girl this family was fostering at the time. No family had come forward to adopt her. Brian and Louisa fell in love with her and took the steps needed to begin the adoption process. A bedroom was made in their home for her and their lives seemed to just fit with this beautiful girl in their lives. After a year of building a bond and relationship with this girl, the Saylors received a denial of adoption for her as a family member came forward for adoption. The grief and loss was like that of a death for them. The Lord has carried them through years of loss, and this grief would be no different. Their lives were flipped upside down the night of October 9th when they received a call from an adoption attorney in Tallahassee. The attorney told the couple that there was a sweet 8 month old baby boy who needed immediate adoption. The couple took time to pray, and believed the Lord was opening this opportunity for them to grow their family. So far, the town of Monticello has rallied around this couple to help provide for their new baby's needs. However, there is $17,650 (adoption agency costs and the home study fee) standing in their way to make this precious child their own. Their desire has always been to use their childlessness or fullness as a means to share the Gospel. ADOPTION IS THE GOSPEL! Would you consider partnering with this family, whether through prayer or a financial gift? Thank you for reading!
