Alexis Hope's Medical Expenses

As some may know, there is a rare genetic disease called HSAN1 that runs in our family (see deaterfoundation.org for info). Alexis has been dealing with related issues since her 8th grade year, which forced her to do virtual school for a number of years in order to limit walking. In high school, she also went through numerous procedures related to a separate vein disorder.
In the summer of 2018, another foot issue began, which caused her to stay home and do her sophomore year of college on-line. Last month she needed to move back to college for her junior year (on-line classes for her major aren't available), and her foot just wasn't getting better. When she visited the doctor, he diagnosed her with Charcot Foot, which can happen to people with severe neuropathy, where bones break and shift without pain or knowledge, and cause pressure and ulcers from inside.
She met with a surgeon last week, and is slated for an MRI this week. She will need surgery and due to the HSAN1 risks are very high for additional problems. Besides surgery, special boots/shoes are needed, and may be for the near future. She is already using a combination of wheelchair, scooter and walker to stay off of it as much as possible.
If you know Alexis at all, you know she is one of the sweetest and caring people there is. She is going to school to be a teacher, and just loves giving back to people.
Our family moved to Plant City last summer, Jon left his job at Enterprise to follow a call of God to work part-time here in a church. While Alexis does have health insurance through Hope's job, it does have a high deductible. Coupled with the fact that Jon is still looking for a weekday job, money is very, very tight. We know this is the start of a long road, both physically & financially, and we are making our situation public, in case anyone feels moved to help out.
Ultimately, we believe in a God that heals, that can work miracles! We are praying daily for a complete healing and that surgery won't be necessary. Until God does that, we are being wise and seeking the advice of medical doctors and professionals.
