Hello Friends and Family,
We wanted to mark another bittersweet day for us. Today is Dexter's wife's, Carmen Rivera Flowers, birthday. Dexter and Carmen had planned on celebrating their birthdays together with some steaks and fixings a la The Prime Rib-style today, but now that is not to be. Many of us are going to remember Dexter and celebrate Carmen this weekend with our own steakhouse dinners quietly at home. Carmen had to pick up Dexter’s ashes and death certificate today, of all days.
Dexter wished to have a memorial celebration when it is safe and the venue is to be determined and it will be announced on Facebook. Dexter did not wish to have a memorial in a funeral home. He wanted to have a party in a beautiful setting, a celebration of life, which we’ve vowed to do.
We will update you as best we can about estimated costs of medical expenses and appreciate all of the support everyone has given so far. Some of these unplanned costs have been unexpectedly high.
During this difficult time for Dexter's loved ones, please keep them in your thoughts and if you can help in anyway, it would be very much appreciated.

Hello Friends, today is a special and poignant day for us. It would have been Dexter’s 53rd birthday. He loved celebrating with friends and family and especially with prime rib at The Prime Rib. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts on this day of all days so close to his passing.

We just wanted to update you that Dexter passed away from COVID-19 pneumonia on the morning of Thursday, January 13, 2022. We are hoping to fulfill his last wishes and will celebrate his life together when circumstances allow. Please keep Dexter, his wife, Carmen, his mother, Yvonne, his family, his Pando and Bella, in your thoughts, and if you can help in anyway, it would be much appreciated.

We are devastated to have to tell you that Dexter passed away at the hospital this morning. Please keep his family in your thoughts, and if you can provide any help during this most difficult time, we know it will be very much appreciated.

1/9/2022 We just found out our dear friend Dexter has COVID-19 pneumonia and is in the ICU. Our friends know that Dexter is a solid organ transplant recipient which puts him at high-risk for severe complications from COVID-19 infection. Please help, if you can, ensure this difficult time doesn’t include having to worry about how to cover medical bills. All proceeds will go to Carmen Rivera Flowers, his spouse.
