Following the evacuation of all DOS direct-hire personnel from Puerto Rico due to Hurricane Maria, Johnny and Emily remained behind to fulfill their public safety role, while maintaining the physical security of our office, vehicle fleet, and personal residences. All of this while dealing with their own personal losses caused by the storm.
Currently, the island has no power, most homes do not have running water, and gas/diesel are difficult to come by. The situation is dire and Johnny and Emily need our help with basic necessities (dry goods, gas burner for cooking, water purification system, basic OTC meds, etc). Any assistance for these two members of our DS extended family is greatly appreciated.
With the assistance of a contact from another agency, we should be able to get donated goods to Emily and Johnny quickly.
