BRONTE NEEDS HER COMMUNITY NOW — OR SHE WILL DIE
Please… we are absolutely broken writing this.
For those who don’t know Bronte she was a sweet, gentle “community cat.” Everyone loved her when things were easy. She’d visit everyone, share cuddles, brighten lives. But when tragedy struck, and she was brutally attacked by a dog, suddenly… she was “no one’s cat.”
She was left fighting for her life, her body torn apart, her spirit barely hanging on. Protected Paws stepped in when no one else would we said yes when her only other option was death.
And she fought so, so hard. She survived sepsis. She learned to walk again. She started to thrive.
We thought she’d made it. But today… everything came crashing down.
The infection is back. There’s hidden damage deep inside from that horrific attack, and the vets can’t find where it’s coming from. The words we dreaded: “It’s euthanasia or referral.”
How do you look into a cat’s eyes a cat who’s fought this far, who’s purring through pain, who wants to live and say no?
We couldn’t. We just couldn’t.
So Rose dropped everything and raced her to The Ralph Veterinary Referrals. The estimate was £8,00 they kindly capped it at £3,000, but we don’t even have that.
We sent her anyway. Because hope is all she has left.
If we don’t raise this money, Bronte will die. If her “community” doesn’t come through now, she’ll slip away alone.
She gave her love to everyone now she has no one. Please, please, don’t let her down again.
