Look out! Out of Iso is back, with even more fabulous artists across performance, dance, music, sound and digital media, in two joyful immersive performance events to celebrate the end of a loooooong year! We can’t wait to share the full program of 20 (or so) works with you, on November 17th , when tickets go on sale.
Until then, you can help us make Out of Iso Again! possible, and support the practice of around 40 of Sydney’s most exciting independent performance makers, by donating to our fundraising campaign.
Why are we asking for money?
Last year Out of Iso engaged 60 diverse artists across four programs, and kickstarted numerous new works and continuing collaborations. It got artists working, earning income, and sharing their responses to the pandemic with audiences. It got audiences out of the house to celebrate and experiment.
Independent artists and producers like Intimate Spectacle can be nimble and flexible... to respond quickly when, as happened this year, after the long lockdown. But we run on the smell of an oily rag. We don't have annual funding. We have the generous support of City of Sydney, a project grant covering about a quarter of the costs. The rest of the budget will come from ticket sales, donations, and partner contributions. Three quarters of the costs are artist fees.
