Help Me Raise funds to Keep the DSCE Going Strong !

I am Ex British Army and served for 22 years, so know why Veterans Charities need us.

For the past two years, I’ve proudly organised and self-funded the DSCE – Dorset Syndicate Charity Event. It’s a 48-hour fishing event that brings anglers together to raise money for incredible causes. Thanks to generous support, we’ve already raised over £3,000 so far – and every penny has gone to charity.

Charities we’ve supported so far include:

Phoenix Heroes – Supporting veterans with PTSD
Anglers Against Cancer / Children With Cancer
CALM – Campaign Against Living Miserably (mental health support)

The stunning lake is donated for free by the fishery owner, and every angler contributes a charity donation. We’ve raised around £1,500 per year, all going to the nominated charities. A lot of the Anglers are serving veterans who also want to help.

Why I’m Asking for Your Support

Until now, I’ve covered all the event costs myself for 2 years, including:

Food and drink for the social event (which gets all together for 2 hours to talk with each other)
Prizes for winners
Printed materials (admin letters, lake maps, peg markers, notices)
A marquee, tables, chairs, trophies, medals, BBQ kit... you name it!

But now, as the event grows and becomes a popular annual fixture, I need your help to keep it running without footing all the costs alone.

A new marquee (mine was destroyed by the wind this year!)

Walkie-talkies for the marshals (Volunteers who have to verify fish caught)
