DSAA - Great Ocean Road Marathon

Donation protected
On 21st May 2017 I'm going to run the Great Ocean Road Marathon - a not so quick 44km run between Lorne & Apollo Bay - and am hoping to raise as much money as I can for the Victorian branch of the Disabled Surfers Assocation of Australia (DSAA).

The DSAA was setup back in the 80's and they organise events so that they can take people with any disability, young or old, out for a days surfing.

The surf days are volunteer run and they're always on the look out for anyone that is keen to help out. What they also need is equipment (eg. beach friendly wheelchairs or specially adapted surfboards) so that they get more people out in the surf.

Any donations received will be used by DSAA to purchase additional equipment to use at future events. To give you an idea, new wheelchairs can cost around $4,000 and surfboards are about $1,700 each.

Check out their website for more info about what the guys at DSAA do.

Feel free to dig deep and put some money in the pot for this cause - all donations are welcome!! If it makes it any more enticing to you, the course is full of hills and hills are not my friend. So we can share the pain - your pockets and my legs. Thanks in advance! Cheers, Sish
