Denver School of the Arts’ National History Day Club has qualified for the 2026 National Competition in Washington, D.C.!
National History Day is a nationwide academic program where students conduct in-depth historical research and present their work through documentaries, performances, exhibits, and papers. Advancing to nationals means competing among the top students in the country.
What makes our journey even more meaningful is that our club was built and sustained after the passing of our beloved teacher Ed Glassman last summer. We took initiative as a student-led club by organizing meetings, guiding each other through research, and pushing ourselves to succeed despite limited resources. Through teamwork and determination, we made it all the way to the national stage.
This year, our entries include an exhibit on the Colorado Tuberculosis Revolution and a documentary on the Gang of 19 in Colorado. You can view our documentary here: https://youtu.be/oB78ICnmxAI
We are now raising funds to cover travel expenses from June 14–18, including flights, lodging, and competition costs.
Your support will help make it possible for us to represent our school and community in Washington, D.C. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to this incredible opportunity. Thank you for believing in us and helping us continue this journey!
