Hammer Circle Fundraiser for ESAA 2025

As you may be aware there are huge financial burdens on the staging of the English Schools Championships each year. We (the Hammer Circle) have been asked to help raise funds for the ESAA again in 2025.

The ESAA (English Schools Athletics Association) are suggesting that they require £1000 to stage each event. With the money already donated in Paul Dickenson's name together with funds from the Hammer Circle we are looking to raise funds to support three of these events.

The hammer was one of the later events to be hosted at the English Schools Championships, and its inclusion was largely down to the work of the Hammer Circle in its early days in the 1950s. Similarly the introduction of the junior girls category in 2014 followed lobbying by the Hammer Circle.

Some Members of The Hammer Circle have already generously offered their personal financial support. We would like to raise as much money as possible to support these events, especially in the ESAA's centenary year.
