A few months ago, my best friend and loyal companion, Kylo, was diagnosed with diabetes. Unfortunately, his body has been very resistant to insulin, and while we’ve been working hard to regulate his blood sugar, he developed cataracts that have left him unable to fully see. At just 4.5 years old, Kylo still has so much life left ahead of him—but every day his vision and quality of life continue to decline.
Since losing his sight, Kylo has become very depressed. The things we used to enjoy together—walks, play, adventures—are no longer the same for him. It breaks my heart to see him struggle. Cataract surgery could change everything for him, giving him back the ability to see, explore, and enjoy life again.
The surgery, along with ongoing checkups and procedures, is estimated to cost between $4,000–$6,000. I wish I didn’t have to ask, but I’m reaching out to friends and the community to help give Kylo this second chance.
If you’ve ever met Kylo, you know he’s pure joy, a gentle, loving soul and truly the best dog I’ve ever had. He means the world to me, and I want nothing more than to give him the life he deserves.
Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his surgery and care. Even if you’re unable to give, sharing this campaign would mean so much.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness and support. Kylo and I are deeply grateful.
