From Constant Moving to One Last Push I’m turning to the people who have shown up for me: my real support system. My friends. My chosen family.
If you know me, you know I always try to keep my head up, stay positive, and grind through whatever life throws at me. I’ve built and run my own power washing and home repair business from the ground up. I work hard—every damn day—no matter the situation, the weather, or the chaos around me.
After I lost my car, I literally Ubered to jobs with my power washer jammed in the backseat. No excuses—just getting it done. I’ve had friends step up and drive me to jobs too, and I just want to say thank you to those people. You know who you are. You’ve helped keep the wheels turning when everything else was falling apart.
But survival mode wears you down. I’ve been living out of hotels, couch-hopping, dragging bags around with Scooter by my side. No fridge. No washer. No real rest. Always moving, always worrying—never grounded. It’s taken a toll on my health, my finances, and my peace of mind.
Finally, There’s a Light
I’ve been approved for an apartment lease in Bridgeport. A fresh start. A stable home—for me and for Scooter, who’s entering his senior years and deserves a quiet, safe space to live out the rest of his days.
Here’s the challenge:
To move in, I need to cover:
• First and last month’s rent
• Security deposit
• Startup necessities: a bed, some furniture, plates, utensils, basic groceries, toiletries— just the stuff that makes life livable again
I have solid jobs lined up, but payment won’t come in time. My savings have been drained just trying to survive each day. The deadline is right around the corner—and I’m close, but not there yet.
Why I’m Asking
This isn’t about comfort—it’s about survival and sanity. A roof. A fridge. A stable base so I can keep building my business, stay focused, and live like a normal human again.
If you’ve supported me in the past, shared kind words, or just kept me going And if you can chip in now, even a little, or just share this link, you’d be helping me and Scooter get over this last hill. Lastly my moped was stolen and gutted recently and I’m left with costly repairs to fix it so I can actually use it , I was lucky enough to recover it from the vandals but it had been chopped up and beat up brake lines cut and everything from the vandals and needs costly repair so I can get to and from work . Your support means the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With love,
Chris & Scooter
