D’s First Apartment

I work in Philadelphia’s child welfare system and I’d like to do something special this giving season. There’s a young man I’ve worked with who recently turned 21 and is exiting care. He’s moving into his first apartment on December 1st and I would love to help provide him with some home necessities- kitchen items, cleaning supplies, etc.

This young man has less support than most, and now that he’s 21 he is no longer part of a system that provides a safety net. He works full time and plans to go to Harcum College in the near future to pursue a career in social work. Let’s show this young person some support as he takes this big step.
