Hello Everybody,
Most of you know by now but for those of you who don't, I have been diagnosed with testicular cancer. It has spread to my lymphnodes which makes it stage 2. Even though it has spread, the doctors have given me a great prognosis and it is very curable. I underwent surgery in March to remove the mass where the desease originated but due to the spreading I have to undergo chemo therapy, which I am currently going through. As long as everything goes smoothly, I will be finished with chemo by the end of May and cancer free!!! Follow up CT scans and blood work will continue for the next 5 years to make sure it doesn't return.
Many of you have already shown and continue to show so much support to my family and me. I cannot express how thankful I am for all of the support and prayers that I have receieved, it is truly amazing and I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.
People have asked if an account has been set up for them to donate and until this point we had not set one up. Honestly, I felt awkward about asking for people's money. That was my answer up until a few wonderful people opened my eyes to the simple fact that it is not about me asking for money, it is about giving people who love and care about me, an avenue to help and support me.
For those of you who have asked and for those of you who would like to know how you can help, this would be a great way. It will help pay for the heavy medical expenses my family and I will incur.
Once again, I want to thank each and every one of you for all of the prayers, hugs, kisses, well wishes, multiple fundraisers, financial donations, high fives, encouraging texts, phone calls, snapchats, gift baskets.....EVERYTHING! It all means the world to me.
Cancer is an ugly thing but, all of the love, prayers and support makes it much easier to get through. I WILL get through it and I will look back on this as just a bump in the road later on in life. I cannot wait to get back to doing what I love and living my life. I love you all and God bless.
