Medical Expenses

I never thought I would ever do something like this, but, here I am. This past April Beckett ruptured her cruciate. We tried conservative management. The result was a worsening of her condition. We were referred to Dr. Bonafine at College Heights Veterinary Clinic for a surgical consult. It was decided that a tightrope fixation system was the best course of action. Her surgery date is booked for July 23rd. My quote for her surgery is $3,483.61 to $3,559.10. Her medical expenses to get to this point have been just under $1,000.00 with xrays, medications and surgical consult. Not to be outdone by Beckett, on July 11th Rumble presented with a mysterious cough, gurgle and an out of character lethargy and clinginess that concerned me enough to have him seen asap. It remains a mystery what exactly is going on with him without further diagnostic testing. To date we are at $1,128.97 with his medical expense and rising. Then, on July 16th I awoke to a very sick Bruno. The vet quickly narrowed it down to a suspected prostate infection. It was shocking how fast this took him down. To date we are at $704.14 with his medical expense and rising. I am so thankful and give praise to Dr. Sammi Fuller, Dr. Soleil Gagne and the staff at Hart Family Veterinary Clinic for the immediate attention and care we have received during this relay race of emergencies. Those that know me know I have been struggling for the past 5 years with my own on going medical disability that left me unable to work. My current limited financial resources have made these veterinary medical bills more than I can keep up with. I’ve never been one to ask for help. Somehow I have always forged my way alone. I know times are hard for everybody, and I know this is a big ask in our current state of inflation and uncertainty, but I am here, putting my pride aside, and asking for help. Anything you can contribute will be gratefully appreciated.
