Dr. Wendy Furie of Frederick, MD, who has been serving our community for 35 years, was in an accident while driving her truck on Sunday 6/14/15 which has landed her in Baltimore Shock Trauma Center for surgery on her broken right leg (in multiple places) due to being pinned in her truck. Of course all she was worried about was whether her recently adopted dachshund passenger was okay.

We all know Dr. Furie is very proud and will possibly even be insulted, but I am certain the cost of this surgery and probable loss of her truck will be a financial burden of great proportions, not to mention her recovery time and inability to work.

Over the years she has treated our animals and nursed them (and us) back to health for fees that seem more to fit the clients budget than the service rendered. I often wonder how she exists, but I know she truly loves her work, and the animals are blessed enough to have her in their lives and ours.

Please consider helping by giving to Frederick County's finest.  Dr. Furie has been a personal blessing to me and all of my critters over the years as she has for countless others.
