Hello my name is Gabriela Magana. I’m writing this on the behalf of my beloved husband Adal Magana. My husband Adal was a great husband, father and hardworking man. He recently went into the ER Tuesday June 15th for severe stomach pain while doing a CT scan they gave us devastating news that they found a large mass in his stomach and had to complete more tests to verify if it was cancer. 2 days later on June 18th, 2021 we received the worst news that a family could ever get. They confirmed he had cancer in his esophagus and it has been identified as stage 3 cancer. On June 20th, 2021 it was Father’s Day Adal put on a big smile and talked through the pain while celebrating with his daughters to give them the comfort that their dad was still a warrior fighting being the best dad he has always been just to see them happy. After further examination they discover that transferring him to IU hospital on Wednesday June 22nd was the best option to discuss further examination and treatment. When he arrives they give us more heart wrenching news that it’s an Acute locally advanced cancer in the esophagus affecting his liver, pancreas and colon and not much they can do. Unfortunately on July 7th my dearest husband Adal passed away. He put up a great fight and tried his hardest to fight through the pain to be here with us today but God had greater plans. Now as a family we are trying to raise enough to pay for funeral and medical expenses to give my husband and the father of my children the funeral he wanted and deserves. Adal Magana was a devoted husband, father of 2 beautiful girls, brother, son, true friend and a hard worker who dedicated his life to his job to support his family. We as a family are asking for help. Anything you can give us or donate will be greatly appreciated to give my husband his last wish.
