Drunks is an epic mosaic of 14 interrelated characters searching for love, truth and meaning on a single night out in New York City. The pilot episode is a 45-minute mini-episodic drama/comedy based on a play by renowned international playwright Ivan Vyrypaev.

Synopsis
It's Friday night in the city, and the lives of 14 drunk people are about to intersect. They reach out to each other to make contact, explode with confessions, and make radical decisions that could either destroy or save them. Each explores their deepest secrets and desires and discovers the consequences of acting on them. Are they ready to accept the truth about themselves? Will they change their lives or regret it all tomorrow?

About
Drunks is a story about ordinary people on the battlefield of life: at war with jobs, relationships, status, and desires. Their lives are caught up in routines and a monotony slowly killing their souls. They know they’re unhappy, but what went wrong? Why are they pretending? And how can they stop now that they're aware of what's happening?

Let's be clear. We're not interested in a moral recipe for how to live. We aim to raise the questions of why darkness and destruction exist in the world, and what role do we each play in it? What solutions are possible?

Vision
An atmospheric drama/comedy paced to evoke humor and devastation from the audience. These character-driven stories reveal how these people truly feel about one another and their purpose for being alive as they delve into their relationships, secrets, and their search for the divine.

What happens to the pilot episode once it's made?
Our goal is to be selected for A-list film festivals worldwide (Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes, Raindance, SXSW and more) so that our project will reach as many as possible.
Further down the line, we aim to pitch this pilot to streaming platforms as a mini-series for further development.
