Drunk driver almost killed my brother Matthew

Matthew Sloboda was hit and nearly killed by a drunk driver on Thursday afternoon. He was immediately rushed to UW Harbor View Medical Center. Matthew was left with multiple broken bones in the both of his arms and back with major soft tissue damage on his left arm. Initially doctors thought that they might amputate his left arm. He also had some bleeding in his head and a concussion. On Saturday after a 7-hour surgery the doctors were able to save both of his arms. We are now waiting for his back surgery to be performed. Drunk driver is in jail now but Matthew still has a long recovery process ahead that will take months to be able use his arms and walk again. We greatly appreciate your prayers and support during this difficult season for our family. We are trying to get some support for Matthew’s medical bills and recovery process.
