Drummer Chuck Popcorn Louden Loses Leg Needs Help

Donation protected
Popcorn has been fighting hard to save his leg for more than 2 years. On March 6, 2020 the unthinkable has to happen (amputation).

Chuck "Popcorn" Louden is a professional drummer from St Louis MO.  He has traveled the world for more than 30 years playing with celebrated artists such as; Michael Burks, Lucky Peterson, The Soul Stirrers, and Buddy Miles just to name a few.

Popcorn returned home (St. Louis) in 2017 due to his mom being ill.  Shortly after, his dad had a major stroke, leaving all of the responsibilities on him while dealing with complications from diabetes himself.  Popcorn developed an ulcer on his leg that escalated into a septic infection. He became very ill having to go back & forth to the hospital staying 2 to 3 weeks at a time & unable to work. Popcorn's current hospital bill is over $50,000 and is expected to soar considerably following the surgery, a prosthetic, rehabilitation & ongoing doctor visits.

Being a musician is a passion for bringing joy to the lives of others.  It can be a hard life, especially when spending it on the road.  Popcorn has no other source of income.  Insurance, benefits for sick leave, unemployment & other accommodations are mostly unheard of.

No donation is too small & will be used for medical bills, life expenses & help to alleviate financial burdens.  Your help would be tremendously appreciated. We thank you from the bottom of our heart.
