DRR fundraiser for Flood Relief in Pakistan

Hello friends, as most of you already know, there is a huge humanitarian disaster happening in Pakistan in the shape of the devastation caused by unprecedented flooding. There is a dire need to support the relief efforts.

We are a group of recreational cyclists in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area with a South Asian heritage or connection called Desi Road Riders (DRR). My cycling club friends have researched the options and found a reputable 501(c) 3 nonprofit called I-Care Fund America. They find and work with effective partners on-ground in Pakistan. We have taken the initiative to connect with them and were able to meet with their CEO. We are setting up this gofundme campaign to raise funds and channel them for the flood relief efforts via I-Care Fund.

I-Care Fund Of America Inc. Its mission Is To Substantially Improve The Quality Of Life Of Underprivileged Pakistanis, By Working To Increase The Volume Of Donations And By Building Capacity And By Helping To Scale Up Good Charitable Organizations.

All money raised will go straight to I-Care Fund Of America, which will disburse it to partner organizations on the ground in Pakistan actively working on flood and disaster relief. GoFundme will charge a small amount for credit card and debit card processing fees. DRR members will cover the processing fees so that all donor money goes to the NGO for helping flood victims with no deduction. You may be able to claim a deduction on your federal taxes since you are donating to a 501(c)3 organization.
